Culinary Uses

Mustard is known as a winter vegetable is much like Kale and resembles headless cabbage. Cool weather produces a tastier leaf. The entire plant can be used in cooking and can be eaten raw. Mustard has a horseradish flavor. Young leaves and flowers are great in salads and larger leaves are used in stir fries, soup, and stews.

Harvesting Crops

To harvest simply snap off the out leaves with fingers or shears leaving the growing point intact. Picking this way allows the plant to produce subsequent flushes of leaves. This extends the harvest for many weeks.

Harvesting Seed
